Others who played were Dodge Kerr, Mike E. Smith, Lincoln Minor, Sam Martin, Steve Hayworth, Steve Slott, and Greg Parsons. Mike P. Smith led the sophomores with 7 rebounds, while Mel Morgan stole the ball eight times. Coach Bill Brickert said he was pleased with the game, even though Shelton lost, becatase he felt that the Shelton team did a fine job offensively and defensively, especially on zone and man-to-man defense, and that the team pressed its opponents well. Brickert said the main reason he was pleased was that in order for Lima to beat Shelton they had to use two players off their Jayvee basketball team. He also added that it was legal to do that according to the rule book. The next game is here next Monday against Hoquiam.
