Plenty to do for cleanup THERE WAS PLENTY of work to do in the wake of last week's wind and rain. State officials said Wednesday afternoon that by Friday they plan to reopen a 37-mile stretch of 101 between Hoodsport and Quilcene, though motorists may still experience delays during cleanup. "We hired contractors to speed the work along," said Joyce Komac of the Washington Department of Transportation. "They need to complete a substantial amount of work before the roadway is safe to open to traffic."
