home of Mrs. Ayer's mother. They
also went to Chehalis to visit with
Mr. Ayer's grandmother, Mrs.
Mary Ohmit..
Some of the members of Scout
Troop No. 11, along with their
leader, Cliff Reader. went to Mt.
Eleanor on Sunday. They left
Hoodsport around 7:00 am. and:
went in Mr. Reader's car part of
the way and then hiked the rest
of the way. A few of them went
to the peak of the mountain and
signed their names in a book up
there for that purpose. They also '
took pictures while there. Those
going all the. way were Marshall
Vail, Glenn: Lockwood, Leroy Rob-
bins, Bobby Russell, Bill Smith
and Ernest Hill. The others who
went part way were Don Reader,
Jack Eatwell, Russell Simpson

good turn out of members and a
very good meeting. The lecture
hour was taken up with the ex-‘

the‘ singing of Christmas carols
with a dainty lunch of sandwiches
cake and coffee completed the
evening.‘
Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Anderson

on the island Sunday and also
looking after their home here.
The Harstine ferry ran every
day in the awful foggy weather
without any mishaps of any kind
