THIS IS ALL THAT REMAINS of the Howard Robinson
home in the Little Skookum Bay area after a fire in the
home Monday morning. The fire was believed to have
started in the garage of the home. The couple lost all of
their possessions, including their car, in the fire, getting
out with only the clothes they were wearing. Robinson
said he walked through the garage shortly before the fire
started and was doing some work in the woods above the
garage when he heard his wife call out. He saw the en-
tire inside of the garage in flames and went into the house
and called his daughter, Mrs. John Sells, who lives nearby.
She called Fire District 4, which sent three trucks to the
fire. The fire was so far advanced when the firemen ar-
rived nothing could be done to save the house. No esti-
mate of the damage to the house, which was about 11
years old, was available yet. Mr. and Mrs. Robinson ex-
pressed appreciation to the fire department and to the
many friends who assisted.
