The Hoodsport High Leads
Club hosted a Christmas
party for pioneers in the

hours of work. He came west
from Missouri in 1918.
4-H'ers presented each of
their guests with homemade gifts
of cookies and candies.
Traditional Christmas Party
Sunday evening Mike and
Mark Kirk hosted the sixth annual
Christmas party for children and
parents in the community. The
group, numbering about 100,
caroled through downtown
Hoodsport, returning to the
Kirks' home where Santa Claus
greeted the youngsters and passed
gifts out to each one.
The children presented a skit
titled "On The Scene News"
written by Sandy Thurman and
directed by Sandy and Betti
Claar.
Scouts Visit
Cadet Senior Troop 119
visited the Fir Lane Convalescent
Center on the evening of
December 16. Fourteen girls and
their leaders, Dicie Ball, Karen
Bowen and Donna Simmons, sang
Christmas carols down through
the halls and in several of the
patients' rooms. The girls were all
dressed in floor-length gowns for
the occasion. After the program,
they returned to Simmonses for a
Christmas party with treats and
homemade gift exchange.
Family Reunion
Thirteen grandchildren and
their parents gathered at Nancy
and Emery Winters' home
December 20 for their annual
family reunion and Christmas
dinner party. Families came from
Lake Sutherland, Port Angeles,
Rochester, Spanaway and
Hoodsport.
Birthday
Pat O'Neil celebrated his
seventh birthday December 23.
Mrs. George Moake of Eldon
hosted a birthday party at her
home honoring Mrs. Millie Diesen.
Guests joining in for the luncheon
Christmas and birthday party
were Mrs. Stella Morken, Ann
Webb, Ilene Ager, Evelyn
Nicholson, Elinor Pierce and
Corda Watkins.
No Meetings
There are no scheduled
meetings of the Lilliwaup
Community Club until the end of
January.
Cocktail Parties
Louis and Athmore
Richardson hosted a cocktail
party for beach neighbors
December 20. New Cushman
residents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe
Hudson, made acquaintances with
their new neighbors in the
community.

Luncheon to
honor Jackson
A luncheon will be held for
Senator Henry M. Jackson at the
Tyee Motor Inn December 29.
The no-host luncheon will start
with refreshments at 11:30 a.m.
Tickets for the luncheon will be
$3.60.
Jackson wants to meet with
the Democrats from Mason, Lewis
and Thurston Counties, and
anyone interested in attending is
welcome.
The Senator is campaigning in
his home state during the
Christmas Congressional recess.
Anyone interested in
attending the luncheon is asked to
