SHS choir
wonderful
Editor, The Journal:
At the Shelton United Meth-
odist Church Soup and Sound
program last Friday I heard the
beautiful choral music of the Shel-
ton High School Chamber Sing-
ers. This group presented music
very appropriate to the Christmas
season and most excellently per-
formed.
I want the community to know
how the students and all who hear
them are enriched by this choir.
The students are required to make
a year-long commitment to the
group. They were invited to sing
at the Washington State Capitol
under the rotunda for the sendoff
of the National Christmas Tree.
The group also caroled, by special
invitation, in the governor's man-
sion for her private Christmas
celebration, and performed for
the Oitice of the Superintendent
of Public Instructiozz Arts Fair in
the OSPI Building.
I commend Paul Nakhla, the
choral director, for his superior
leadership and instruction of the
students. I hope the community
will support him in every way pos-
sible.
