their homes, and make sure the rentals provide
healthy shelter. We have to be more creative in
our recruitment of new industry, business and
housing starts, and market the potential of our
city."
MARY EAGLESON
Eagleson, who did not disclose her age, has
lived in Shelton for more than a year. She also
lived here for two years during the 1990s.
This is her first campaign for public office.
Eagleson has owned and operated three
businesses. The most recent was a landscaping
business she owned in California for about 20
years.
Eagleson said she is running for the council
"because I feel that itis time for change here in
Shelton and some diversity on the board. I for
one am glad we now have a city council."
"There are many challenges facing Shelton,
as you well know. I think it is high time we
had a city council so that we can get the people
of Shelton more involved. What one person's
point of view is on the challenges isn't going to
change how the problems get solved. It takes
the whole city and then some."
