If someone would have asked me on Jan. 1, 2016, to locate Shelton, Washington, on a map from my residence just outside of Hartford, Con- necticut, I wouldn't have been able to do it. Admittedly, I would've had a nearly as difficult time finding Shelton, Connecticut, on a map as well, but that's another story for another time. Fast forward to exactly seven months later. Somehow, someway, the planets aligned properly and I found a way to make it happen (minus a good portion of music equipment), even if my next sever- al weeks prior to moving here resembled me re-enacting the final play of the 1982 Cal-Stanford football game and a Three Stooges short at the same time. And now that I've been in my seat at the Journal for five months, I couldn't be happier that things turned out the way they did. That leads me to my point, that in addition to events of my personal life, the untimely loss of a handful of beloved celebrities and the results of a see CORNER, page B-3 Great Buy/ 6reat Suy! 2505 Olympic Hwy Low cost, aft-season design PASSENGER N #300 • Shelton, WA 98584 • (360) Prices good through December 31, 2016 • www.Les Schwab.corn LIGHT TRUCK 8 SUV 426-3333 Low cost:, all-season design
