(Pop) Adair died December 22 in Fir Lane Terrace Convalescent Center. He was 83 years old. He was born March 9, 1887 in Maquoketa, Iowa, and had resided for 28 years in Shelton. For 25 years he had been a member of Laborers Union Local No. 249, Bremerton. He is survived by three sons, Vernon and Vincent of Shelton and Harold of the U.S. Air Force, San Antonio, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Kistler and Mrs. Hazel Lucken, both of Mitchell, S.D., a brother, Roy Adair of Anderson, Mo.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A service was held at 11 a.m. on December 26 in the Batstone Funeral home. The Rev. Edwin Zschoche officiated and burial was in Shelton Memorial Park. Social I,$50 forfeit.
